Choir The choir sings each Sunday morning from September to June. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evening from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays before the service. During the summer the Choir sings once a month (on Communion Sundays), rehearsing on the morning they perform.
If you enjoy singing the Lord's praises we invite you to become a member of the choir. No audition is required - just a heart for worship and the ability to sing in tune. The choir is a family, a place to grow spiritually and a wonderful way to serve.
Instrumental Worship Team Instrumentalists accompany the hymns every Sunday morning. The team rehearses at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. If you play an instrument and would like to join the Worship Team, please contact Bev Jennings to arrange an audition.
WISH (Women in Service to Him) WISH is a women's service and fellowship group whose mission statement is to "be a light to the world by serving others and to nurture our faith as Christian women". Usually meeting once a month from September to June, the group works on behalf of the activities of the church as well as reaching out to the community at large.
In addition to supporting the church's Open Door ministry the group encourages the homebound with cards and visits, has mailed hygiene packages to Haiti, and has sent morale-boosting packages to individuals serving in Afghanistan.
A main focus of the group has been its Prayer Shawl/Prayer Wrap ministry. The women knit shawls and sew fleece wraps which are then given to Norwood Hospital or to those who may benefit from a gift of encouragement and love.
The group encourages any interested women to attend the meetings and become involved.
Coffee Time Coffee and baked goods are served each week in the Fellowship Hall immediately after the service. Check with Joan Ripley to see how you can help.
The Open Door - "Meals from theHeart" Every Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 meals are served in the Fellowship Hall to individuals and families in need. This outreach program is open to all members of the community who could use a free hot meal. Volunteer helpers are always welcome.
